About Theresa

Theresa Tait is the founder and lead therapist at the

Muscle and Movement Company, with over 15 years of experience in holistic massage, rehabilitation, and strength training. Born with congenital hip dislocation, Theresa has a deep personal understanding of how imbalances in the body can lead to pain and dysfunction. She managed her condition through targeted massage and strength exercises, which fuelled her passion for helping others restore balance in their bodies.

Theresa’s journey in the health and wellness field began with a qualification in holistic massage from Simonetta Logan’s School of Holistic Therapy, followed by advanced clinical training at

Jing Advanced Massage Training

in Brighton.

Theresa went on to earn a degree-level BTEC6 Advanced Clinical Massage certificate, with a research paper published in 2013. Working closely with other professionals, Theresa has learned effective strengthening exercises and continues to discover more as she collaborates with others to exchange best practice.

Her commitment to continued professional development led her to study with renowned experts like Dr. Bettina Karsten, John Gibbons, and Naudi Aguilar, gaining expertise in rehabilitation, injury prevention, and functional movement.

Theresa works closely with Dr Bettina Karsten, a leading researcher on Physiology, who continually shares up to the minute research and expertise with Theresa and who will be teaching courses with Theresa at a more advanced level.
